After years of research, contests, and continuous testing, Ham-Set® has combined the comfort and listening quality of Bose® with a versatile professional boom microphone that meets the highest standards of contest stations worldwide.

THE HEADPHONES

Bose discontinued the QC25 in 2020, and they can now only be found second-hand. Each pair offered here has been refurbished by Ham-Set®, carefully tested, cleaned, disinfected and fitted with new ear pads. Any worn or broken parts are replaced before installing the new boom microphone and connection cable.

Available customization options:

• Earcup Shells: original Bose finish or professionally repainted shells.

• Original Cardboard Box: available when in stock. If supplied with the original cardboard box, the headset is in “as new” condition, never used.

THE MICROPHONE

The boom microphone is permanently mounted on the QC25 for maximum durability and RF protection. You can choose the microphone element that best suits your station:

• Dynamic Standard – The universal contest solution, plug-and-play with all brands. Cardioid capsule, 600 Ohm impedance (the ideal value for ham radio mic inputs), no power required. Includes built-in decoupling capacitor for safe use with Icom and Microkeyer devices providing voltage on the mic line. Sensitivity: –55 dBV/Pa. Frequency Response: 150 – 10,000 Hz. Max SPL: 136 dB SPL.

• Dynamic DX – A tuned version of the standard dynamic element, optimized for pile-up performance with extra presence in the high-mid range while keeping fatigue low during long operations. Same 600 Ohm impedance, cardioid polar pattern, sensitivity –55 dBV/Pa, frequency response 150 – 10,000 Hz, Max SPL 136 dB SPL.

• Electret IC Element – High-definition electret capsule designed for Icom radios or any device providing bias on pin 1. Delivers richer lows, extended dynamic range, higher output. Requires bias voltage. For other brands, a special powering cable is required (available on request). Impedance: 600 Ohm, Sensitivity –47 dBV/Pa, Frequency Response: 100 – 20,000 Hz.

These microphones are used and tested in top multi-op stations such as CN3A, II2S and K3LR, where plug-and-play reliability and contest-grade audio are critical.

THE CABLE

Each headset comes with a permanently attached, RF-proof audio cable. Internal wiring is fully shielded and separated between speaker and microphone paths to avoid RF feedback and sidetone issues under high power.

LE CUFFIE

Le Bose QC25 non sono più prodotte dal 2020 e oggi si trovano solo usate. Ogni esemplare offerto è stato ricondizionato da Ham-Set®, accuratamente testato, pulito, disinfettato e dotato di padiglioni auricolari nuovi. Tutte le parti usurate o difettose vengono sostituite prima di montare il nuovo microfono e il cavo di connessione.

Opzioni disponibili:

• Padiglioni (Earcup Shells): originali Bose oppure riverniciati professionalmente.

• Scatola originale in cartone: disponibile quando presente a magazzino. Se fornita, la cuffia è in condizioni pari al nuovo, mai utilizzata.

IL MICROFONO

Il microfono a braccio è montato in modo permanente sulla QC25 per garantire la massima resistenza e protezione RF. Sono disponibili diversi elementi microfonici a scelta:

• Dynamic Standard – La soluzione universale per il contest, compatibile con tutte le radio. Capsula cardioide, impedenza 600 Ohm (valore ideale per gli ingressi microfonici delle radio ham), non richiede alimentazione. Include un condensatore di disaccoppiamento per l’uso sicuro con apparati Icom o interfacce Microkeyer che forniscono tensione sulla linea microfonica. Sensibilità: –55 dBV/Pa. Risposta in frequenza: 150 – 10.000 Hz. Max SPL: 136 dB SPL.

• Dynamic DX – Versione ottimizzata della capsula dinamica standard, tarata per il pile-up con maggiore presenza sulle medie-alte e minore affaticamento in lunghe sessioni. Stesse caratteristiche di base: impedenza 600 Ohm, cardioide, sensibilità –55 dBV/Pa, risposta 150 – 10.000 Hz, Max SPL 136 dB SPL.

• Electret IC Element – Capsula elettrete ad alta definizione progettata per apparati Icom (o dispositivi con alimentazione su pin 1). Offre maggiore estensione sulle basse, dinamica più ampia e potenza superiore. Richiede alimentazione. Per altri marchi è necessario un cavo di adattamento specifico (fornibile su richiesta). IL CAVO

Ogni cuffia è dotata di un cavo audio professionale RF-proof, collegato in modo permanente per garantire massima affidabilità. Il cablaggio interno è completamente schermato e separato tra percorso audio e microfono, per eliminare problemi di ritorni RF o auto-ascolto anche con potenze elevate.
